Banner - Basics

The aim of this session is to provide staff involved within the Student lifecycle with an overview of the Student Academic Admin system, associated processes and third party involvement.

This session is the mandatory pre-requisite to all other Banner training.

Learning outcomes

This session equips you with the tools, knowledge and skills to:

Understand the importance of the Data Protection Act and the accuracy of the data
Awareness of other agencies that interact with Banner
Access Banner and preform simple searches to view basic student data
Enter records and values into various types of fields and search for students using a variety of enquiry forms and wildcards
